Adding mod support, and this would be long lived sucessful game. But it is abandoned.Multiple game breaking bugs were never fixed. There is a good chance that couple of cards will not work in game. E.g. Repair card never worked for me.There are minor UI issues. E.g. units scaling incorectly.Make a Hero System framework with DLC Campaigns and mod support, and this would be Huge IP on PC.. The game flat-out doesn't work. I got about 30 minutes of play before the menu items began behaving like they were mired in mud, essentially useless, as is the game :(. This is a really good game, with simple, easy-to-understand gameplay. The graphics are decent, and the campaigns are short and sweet. However, what really kills this game for me is the dice rolls. Too often does the AI need a 5 or 6 to hit your unit and conveniently, they strike gold every single time. I play a lot of dice-based games in real life and I have never seen my opponent go on such a streak as the computer does. Letting the AI cheat is a cheap, frustrating way to make the game not only hard. . . but hard to keep wanting to play.. It's the pc implementation of the tactical WWII-themed board game of the same name. Since nowadays most pc games strive to make everything "living 3D", keeping this game true to its tabletop original is, for me, extremely refreshing. If it has any downsides, they are:1) The interface is sometimes a little glitchy. Sometimes the screen will seem to lock at a certain zoom level, but I can usually recover by clicking/scrolling back and forth with the middle mouse button/wheel.2) Some of the in-game text is a bit off, making it clear the authors are not from the U.S. It's not a problem that affects game play at all; it's just something I noticed.3) It comes with a map editor so you can create your own missions, but as far as I can tell you can only host them in games in which you are a player. it would have been very cool if the company offered some kind of service like Steam Workshop, in which players could make their own missions and upload them for others to use.4) There are plenty of resources in the editor (terrain tiles, buildings, ect) to make missions, but I'd like to see them expanded at some point. So none of my complaints are about the core game, which I think is top-notch. If you're looking for a fun WWII-themed tabletop emulator, pick this one up. It's a much better crossover than "Memoir 44". And if you really want to appreciate the characters, watch "Kelly's Heroes" before playing to find out where the authors got their inspiration!. I love this game. On PC, iOS, or Cardboard its just so much fun. I can't wait till they churn out more content. All the campaigns are really well done. Hopefully soon they will enable the transports to actually transport. Purchasing this for my father later this month. Such a blast!. US Campaign was fun. US Rogue campaign started out fine but has some frustrating bugs. For example, repair card does not work and is well-documented in the discussion forum - I should have read the discussions before buying this game. Resupply card also does not seem to work: the card is lit green during the supply phase but you cannot click confirm, just like the repair card. I guess if you only get to play the US and German campaigns without any problems you DO get your money's worth - that is, if you buy the game on Steam with a 60+% discount like I did. Don't spend money on the DLCs unless you want to play multiplayer, which I have not tried.. I've usually been more into tactical games like Combat Mission, etc. So I was a little dubious about how much I would get into this game. I have only played it 7 hours so far. I have finished the tutorial and am half way thru the US campaign. I have already made my own scenario called, "A River runs thru it." The editor was probably the easiest one I've ever seen yet quite capable. Have not played the multiplayer yet. But so far I have to say I am enjoying this game. I spent some time today in the manual to pick up and better understand some of the games' nuances like cards and unit tokens. I bought the game itself along with both DLCs for less than $35 which isnt too bad. I think I will get my money's worth. You can always wait for a sale as both Steam and matrix games have them from time to time. Or, after watching some youtube streams and videos, you can go for it like I did. I am still however, trying to understand the gold/purchase part of the game and dont particulatily care for that aspect so far. But thats my only complaint so far. Would like to see some more terrain tiles besides just Normandy and definately some more DLCs like desert war and east front... I own the boardgame for Heroes of Normandie and I really wanted to like this game . However, its just too buggy. It's mainly with the card that you can use to affect battles. In the board game there's no problem using them. In this game there are a few instances where the game just won't let you or it freezes. For example there are cards you can play to preven the oppentent from playing a card but this game it won't let you. The interface could be better planned I think. If you want to try the game I'd recommend going online or to your FLGS and picking up a copy. You won't regret it. The steam game however.... This game is fantastic. A true turn based strategy game that doesn't get bogged down in the details and provides you with enough diversity to enable you to have a good think before you move. A faithful representation of the wonderful boardgame.
